The following recordings and videos provide a glimpse into the past. I hope you enjoy.
Alone in New York
I wrote these lyrics while auditioning in "the City" and the music flowed out in the months that followed. I wrote this song with Chance Holt, an old friend from FWAFA, and Ben Stephanus, the creative mind behind The Branch Davidians. This particular performance is from my Senior Recital at Eastman School of Music.
Give to Me the Life I Love
Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts, or as it is affectionately called "FWAFA," was established in 2001. It was Victor C. Johnson's first year of teaching and beginning of a lifelong mentorship. When I finalized the concept for my senior recital, I knew I wanted to sing something he wrote so I commissioned him to write this song. This melody has been stuck in my ear ever since I first sang through it.
Baby, It's Cold Outside
The holiday sing is one of the most anticipated events at Eastman School of Music. I am singing this famous duet with my good friend Kim Collison and a jazz combo. Seeing Doug Lowry, the former dean of the Eastman School of Music, smiling in the background makes this performance a special one.
